Purpose of the job
We are hiring a corporate paralegal on a 6 month fixed term contract to provide legal and administrative support to the company secretarial and legal department. This role will focus on corporate governance, entity management, compliance, and transactional matters and supporting the efficient functioning of the legal department by managing administrative processes, technology systems, and operational workflows. This is an exciting opportunity to work on global matters whilst also improving productivity, ensuring compliance, and providing data-driven insights to optimize legal services.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Corporate Governance & Entity Management
Maintain corporate records, including minute books, resolutions, and organisational documents.
Transactional Support
Draft and review routine legal documents such as NDAs, board resolutions, and consents.
Support due diligence efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Coordinate closings and maintain closing binders.
Contract Management
Maintain contract database and track key dates and obligations.
Assist in drafting and reviewing standard agreements under attorney supervision.
General Legal Support
Respond to internal inquiries regarding corporate policies and procedures.
Liaise with external counsel and service providers as needed.
Assist with internal audits.
Operational Support
Maintain and update legal department policies, procedures, and templates.
Coordinate onboarding and training for legal team members.
Manage calendars, meetings, and departmental communications.
Technology & Systems
Administer legal technology platforms (e.g., contract lifecycle management “CLM”, e-billing, matter management).
Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with vendors for upgrades and support.
Ensure data integrity and generate reports for leadership.
Project Management
Coordinate legal department projects and process improvement initiatives.
Monitor timelines and deliverables for strategic goals.
Prepare presentations and dashboards for leadership updates.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Strong knowledge of corporate governance and entity management.
Demonstrates relevant experience as a corporate paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal tech tools.
Organised, detail-oriented, and analytical.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities.
