Purpose of the role
We are lookin g for a Talent Manager to come and join the team for a 12 months fixed term contract. The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing talent development initiatives that build organisational capability, strengthen leadership pipelines, and enhance employee engagement. This role partners closely with P&C Business Partners, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure that learning and development strategies are aligned with business goals and future skills requirements
Key Responsibilities
Talent & Learning Strategy
- Deliver the organisation’s talent development strategy in alignment with business objectives and people priorities
- Conduct skills gap analysis and use data insights to shape future-focused development solutions.
- Partner with leaders to identify high-potential talent and build effective succession and career pathways
- Utilise and own the Talent Management strategy across the group
Learning and Development Programmes
- Design and deliver leadership, management, and professional development programmes.
- Manage enterprise-wide learning programmes such as induction, compliance training, and functional academies.
- Lead talent programmes (e.g., early careers, graduate, apprenticeship schemes) to strengthen the talent pipeline.
- Leverage technology (e.g., LMS/HRIS) to deliver scalable and engaging learning solutions.
Performance and Career Development
- Support the design and implementation of performance management and career development frameworks.
- Embed coaching, mentoring, and career development practices across the organisation.
- Partner with P&C Business Partners to equip leaders with the tools and skills to have effective performance and development conversations
Talent Planning and Succession
- Lead talent reviews and succession planning processes, ensuring follow-up actions are delivered.
- Track, analyse, and report on talent metrics to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives through inclusive development practices.
Stakeholder Management & Vendor Partnership
- Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, managers, and HR colleagues to deliver impactful solutions.
- Manage external providers, ensuring programmes are high quality, cost-effective, and aligned with organisational culture.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders to understand talent needs and align development initiatives with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to promote development initiatives
Measurement and Reporting
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve programs and talent outcomes.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Experience: Strong experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, or HR with a focus on designing, coordinating, and delivering training and development initiatives.
- LMS Management:
Strong experience managing and administering Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday) including content management, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Training Delivery: Proven track record of delivering engaging, effective L&D workshops in both soft skills, leadership and management and technical areas.
- Project Management: Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Data-Driven: Experience in tracking and reporting on learning outcomes and organisational development metrics, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and provide clear, concise reports.
- Proactive & Collaborative: Self-starter with a collaborative approach, able to drive initiatives independently while working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Technology Savvy: Proficient in digital tools, including e-learning platforms, LMS, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, co-pilot, AI tooling
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and foster a culture of continuous learning within the organisation.
- Customer service skills: Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate evidence of sound customer service skills, blended with a highly organized approach and a natural passion for relationship Building.
- Content authoring tools: Experience in using a content authoring tools such as Articulate, Prezi is highly desired.
- Creative thinking: Ability to solve for problems in a creative way, thinking outside the box.
