Purpose of the job
Reporting into the Finance Systems Manager you will be ensuring the systems are fit for purpose with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, reliability, timeliness and ease of use - whilst keeping a continual eye on opportunities for improvement to evolve the systems tools to meet the growing needs of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day operations of the organisations ERP (D365 F&O) system and other key business systems – including monitoring integrations, managing the operational health of systems (e.g. provision of access, managing permissions, backups, performance and trouble-shooting, capacity monitoring).
Providing guidance, training and technical support to users.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders, vendors and consultants to implement business changes and to implement new functionality within the ERP toolset/other business systems.
Planning and implementing system upgrades and changes – including working with stakeholders to gather requirements, testing changes, and deploying them to the system.
Securing the ERP system and other Business systems. This includes implementing security measures to protect the system from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other threats.
Monitoring system performance and capacity. This includes identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and ensuring that the system has enough capacity to meet the needs of the business.
Keeping up with the latest ERP and other business systems trends and technologies - including staying informed of new features and functionality, as well as new security threats.
Developing and maintaining system documentation.
Analysing system logs and data.
Preparing status reports and presentations for senior management.
Understanding the business and improving / developing IT solutions to support insight and efficiency.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O essential, min 3 years experience.
• Microsoft accredited ERP Certification desirable but not essential.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel & Power BI
• Experience of succeeding in a deadline driven environment Experience of multi-currency environments — advantageous
