What does a Project Manager, Senior (Sr. PM) do:
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple complex initiatives across the full project lifecycle—from initiation through close-out. This role is pivotal in driving cross-functional coordination, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Project Manager will serve as a key influencer and collaborator, managing risks and issues, and change management control processes while maintaining clear and consistent communication with departments and senior leadership.
As a champion of continuous improvement, the Senior Project Manager will actively contribute to the evolution of project management methodologies, processes, and tools, integrating best practices and innovative approaches to enhance delivery outcomes. This role is not only operational but also strategic, playing a critical part in enabling organizational growth and transformation by aligning project execution with business objectives and fostering a culture of accountability, agility, and excellence.
Essential:
- 7+ years proven Project Management experience
- Ability to travel as needed (estimate 10% annually)
- Ability to work in-office (Plano) 2 – 3 days a week
- Ability to effectively work remotely
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with airport transportation industry and operations
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Certificate Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
- Experience working in Smartsheet
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage end-to-end execution of multiple, concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals
- Build, guide, and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve milestones and deliverables on time
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality standards
- Provide clear, consistent reporting on project status, milestones, risks, and financials to stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Ensure seamless coordination across all business units to drive integrated outcomes
- Maintain accountability for project financials, including budget forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis
- Enforce quality control processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure successful coordination with third-party partners to meet project objectives
- Facilitate stakeholder communications, meetings, and issue resolutions to maintain alignment and momentum
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to support organizational growth and transformation
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and diversity requirements, including ACDBE and WMBE participation goals, when relevant to project execution or vendor coordination
What You'll Need:
- 7+ years of prior Project Management experience
- Extensive understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques
- Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills
- Prior airport construction, operations, and lounge experience is helpful
- Experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects across diverse functional workstreams and vendor partnerships
- Experience to improve, change or adapt existing processes as we move through phase of rapid growth
- Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall
- Strong leadership and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple departments
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
- Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives
- Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, decisive, with ability to adapt to change and competing demands
- Tools: MS Office Suite; advanced Smartsheet capabilities or equivalent project management scheduler
- Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
