Purpose of the job
The role of the Automation Delivery Lead, at Collinson is to deliver automations that drive successful adoption of automation within the company. This includes building automations and owning deliverables across the automation journey to ensure that use cases and scenarios are properly built and documented.
The role will define and lead on the development standards to create governance and control. This role also involves line management responsibilities and platform support, ensuring that the automation solutions are effectively integrated and maintained within the company's systems. The role is the “go to” person for the Automation Centre of Excellence .
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and governance of Automation Standards for the Centre of Excellence to ensure that all software development is done to a high standard, and that it is fully tested and deployed in a secure and reliable manner.
- Lead the team of developers (2) in the advancement of the Centre of Excellence practice across all tools and manage any 3rd Party “overflow” resource.
- Lead the designs and implements automation solutions from business and technical requirements. Partners with Business Analysts to define the manual rules used to govern the process, and then translating those rules into automated commands.
- Responsible for scripting and coding in UiPath to build automation, and for creating technical documentation following best practices.
- Rigorously execute automation testing, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, and bug fixes.
- Responsible for peer code assessments and knowledge transfer.
- Continues to participate in trainings to further enhance skills and abilities, including tools and best practices to maintain a knowledge of the platforms and adoptions of new tools / solutions
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, etc.
- 4-6 years of experience with software development and/or RPA technologies.
- Experience working with the UI Path automation platform (highly desirable).
- Associate Automation Developer certification.
- Automation Developer Professional Certification
- Experience with Uipath minimum 5 years
- Experience in .NET, HTML, JavaScript, and advanced automation tools (OCR, IDP, AI/ML) preferred.
- Ability to break down business problems into logical tasks and think creatively.
- Ability to perform code analysis to understand how code is implemented.
- Cross-functional business and application knowledge.
- A self-starter that can take a product problem and develop a working technical solution.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
