What does a Senior Accountant Do:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented individual with personal integrity to become part of our Airport Dimensions Finance team as a Senior Accountant. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and helps to manage general accounting and financial processes of our company, adhering to the proper application of accounting principles.
What You'll Do:
- Process the accounting transactions, in line with Company policy and reporting requirements, to support the ongoing management of the business of the company and its various entities.
- Record and report on monthly POS revenue and associated fees.
- Post transactions and ensure accurate categorization in the general ledger for accounting and management reporting requirements.
- The invoice database tracks all business revenue and expenditure for our largest customer to enable bespoke management reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating this database to ensure accurate reporting is provided to our internal and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile and maintain bank balances that feed into Cashflow forecasting and support the cash requirements of the business.
- Conduct month-end, quarterly, and year-end close activities, in line with deadlines, to both internal (Corporate Reporting) and external shareholders (various Regulatory Authorities)
- Prepare periodic reporting for management regarding accounting and financial topics, including ad hoc projects and analysis work
- Liaise with regulatory authorities during annual and quarterly audits and prepare supporting documentation, calculations and analysis to support the organization’s financial records.
- Stewardship over Balance sheet and accounting ledgers
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned, including ad hoc requests, queries and project support.
What You'll Need:
- 3 to 5+ years’ prior experience as a staff accountant or similar relevant role
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Ability to multi-task, manage your time, and have strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, including cash management, financial accounting, reporting, forecasting, and audit processes
- Reliable and results oriented, with ability to prioritize daily tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong math and quantitative skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Personal integrity and respect for confidentiality and ethical standards; experience working responsibly with confidential and sensitive information
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal abilities, with proficiency in speaking and writing; works well with internal and external “customers”
- Computer literacy; skilled using various accounting software
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and especially Excel; high level of aptitude with spreadsheet
