What does a Business Manager & Employee Engagement Specialist Do:
The Business Manager & Employee Engagement Specialist holds a critical role responsible for development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives across AD’s portfolio of 35+ proprietary and partnership lounges with 2000+ employees. In collaboration with AD’s primary lounge management staffing providers and key stakeholders, this position will monitor and assist in actioning key employee engagement and recognition initiatives as well as measure progress and overall program efficacy through key data points. This role will measure effective employee engagement initiatives across AD's providers, significantly impacting productivity, retention, guest experience delivery, and career development, all of which positively influence AD's financial and brand delivery performance. In addition, the role will be responsible for office administration and support to the senior leadership team in the areas of calendar management, research, meeting planning and coordination.
The Business Manager & Employee Engagement Specialist is an enthusiastic and positive individual who understands the airport and lounge environment as well as employee functions. They have a creative approach to employee engagement and recognition. This individual is an effective communicator that develops strong interpersonal relationships across internal and external stakeholders. They have mastered the art of managing multiple priorities and possess exceptional administrative capabilities.
What You'll Do:
- Ideate, evaluate, and action new and ongoing engagement program improvements for AD’s proprietary and partnership lounge team members
- Track and monitor existing programs to measure success, engagement and impact
- Provide manager and senior manager updates on program effectiveness
- Develop professional presentations for review in partnership with internal and external lounge leadership teams
- Engage and communicate with leadership at the lounge level regarding employee engagement programs; developing new and perfecting current ways of tracking success
- Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Attend appropriate meetings in support of employee engagement initiatives
- Oversee office administrative responsibilities on behalf of Airport Dimensions
- Provide administrative support to Airport Dimensions senior leadership in the areas of calendar management, expense report, email communication
- Coordinate meetings across multiple calendars as needed
- Plan and coordinate meeting logistics, including location, meals, agenda etc.
- Demonstrate active listening and adapting communication style to audience and situation
What You'll Need:
- Experience developing and implementing effective employee recognition and engagement initiatives
- Experience working in an airport lounge, department, or company that manages airport lounges is a plus
- Ability to adjust to changing circumstances and employee needs within an airport and/or airport lounge environment to ensure recognition programs are relevant and effective
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a department or company with support and administrative responsibilities across multiple mid-level to senior leadership levels
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities with minimal supervision
- Proficient with office systems, including but not limited to Excel, power point, PDF, word,
- Strong ability to manage information, prioritize tasks and maintain accurate records
- Effectively juggle multiple deadlines, prioritizing tasks
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality is crucial
- Anticipate needs and take initiative to solve problems before they become major issues
- Attention to detail, accurate and thorough
- Effective communicator, ability to clearly convey information, actively listen to feedback and tailor communication to different audiences
- Experience working in a matrixed organizational structure with one or more direct and indirect supervisors
