Business Director, North Asia

The Business Director, North Asia is responsible for managing the North Asia markets delivering on target KPIs of GM delivery and Customer satisfaction. The incumbent will work in line with local, regional, and global business initiatives to achieve market goals and focus, with direct control over Account Management and work alongside a matrixed team of local business development, North Asia SME teams.
Strategic Planning:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the commercial strategy to achieve revenue targets and enhance market position.
- Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and adapt strategies accordingly
Account and Client Management:
- Deliver and grow key client business in line with local, regional, and global strategies.
- Drive account teams to optimise account relationship development
- Manage account teams to adopt and execute account level strategies, within account management framework across multiple sectors including credit cards, banks, airlines, airports, and food and beverages to achieve and surpass GM targets
- Work with regional and global resources, establishing and adopting best practice account management and business administration for all aspects of business in North Asia.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Business Solutions, marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of commercial strategies.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
- Support the successful launch of new offerings into the market.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Cultivate senior strategic relationships with key decision makers and influencers in key verticals and industry bodies/associations.
Business Development:
- Work with BD team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand our customer base.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the success of commercial initiatives & teams, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
You might fit for the role if you have...…
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a commercial leadership role, preferably within the travel, hospitality, or loyalty sectors.
- In-depth understanding and insights into the consumer and commercial environment in local market.
- Solid people development and relationship management experience in highly matrixed organizations.
- Fluency in English, articulate and able to convincingly present complex ideas and concepts in verbal and written form.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing P&L.
